This is accomplished by finding out the stability of the implant and degree of osseointegration with radiofrequency analysis and utilizing a magnetic field on a smart peg (which is attached to the implant).
This gives us a numeric stability value that is consistent, repeatable, and reliable. This is the new gold standard for implants.

Issaquah Valley Dental Care is equipped with the 3M True Definition Scanner. This new technology can change the way patients experience dentistry.
Patients often complain about the experience of traditional dental impressions. Matching shades of teeth can vary from one person to another and has always involved a great amount of subjectivity. Some have more color acuity than others; therefore, not everyone will see colors the same way. Matching a single tooth to its neighboring teeth isn't such an intricate task anymore! The VITA Easyshade is a simple-to-use point and click digital photo spectrometer that provides instant dental shade readouts, regardless of the lighting conditions. The VITA Easy shade photo spectrometer helps Dr. Ashi and Dr. Arti achieve optimal matched shades for veneers, crowns or other restorations.
Along with VITA Easyshade, we also use ClearMatch® technology for precise shade matching. ClearMatch uses a proven and patented method of color analysis to accurately measure shade and value information. By using these standards when acquiring images of a tooth, ClearMatch software 'normalizes' images. This means hues are adjusted to compensate for color imbalances that may occur. The ClearMatch system helps Dr. Ashi and Dr. Arti make beautiful, accurate restorations.
Are you tired of being prescribed medication for a headache? Did you ever think it was related to your bite? Dr. Ashi and Dr. Arti use Myotronic TENS, a method of relaxing the muscles of the chewing system, to provide pain and headache relief.
Headache sufferers may have been to several doctors without much help. They have tried pills, injections, massage or even surgery to find relief from constant headaches. Did you know that by various estimates, 80-90% of headaches are from muscle tension? Muscles in your forehead are related to your bite. If medical doctors have ruled out organic problems, (such as tumors), a specially trained neuromuscular dentist may be able to help you. Discover why your treatments may have failed and learn about a possible new solution. Call today for a free consultation appointment today.
Issaquah Valley Dental Care uses a state-of-the-art tool known as Diagnodent. This laser tool determines the exact amount and depth of cavities in the tooth structure. With this knowledge, Dr. Ashi and Dr. Arti can be as conservative as possible when planning for your restorative dentistry needs. The Diagnodent can even illustrate a cavity before it is visible to the naked eye.
Traditional imaging systems are limited by distortion, magnification changes, restricted clarity, lack of accuracy in measurements, and a lack of 3-D modeling. Blending innovation with patient comfort, the i-CATT Cone Beam 3-D Imaging System produces immediate three-dimensional images of patients' critical anatomy. This advanced imaging cone beam CT (CBCT for short) leads to a higher degree of surgical predictability when using 3-D volumetric images. More accurate imaging results in less invasive surgeries, less chances of operative complications, decreased surgical time and faster post-operative healing. This has revolutionized the way Dr. Ashi and Dr. Arti do wisdom teeth removal, implant placement, orthodontics, TMJ analysis, airway studies and treatment of sleep apnea.
Air abrasion is a technique used to painlessly remove decay and perform other dental procedures without the use of a drill or the need for anesthesia. It is an ideal choice for patients who have fear of needles or dislike the sounds, smells and vibrations of a drill. Air abrasion can reduce treatment time by half. This effective and precise care also eliminates the discomfort of being numb for several hours.
Each year, at least 164 thousand Americans experience sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) outside of a hospital. CPR and early defibrillation with an automated external defibrillator (AED) more than doubles a victim's chance of survival. Rest assured that the Philips HeartStart AED will help using SMART biphasic transthoracic therapy, if needed.
An automated external defibrillator or AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the potentially life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia in a patient. At Issaquah Valley Dental Care, the AED is able to treat the heart through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm.
Our team is always there to help you plan your pain and anxiety control to suit your needs.
Sedation is the use of small amounts of anesthetic or similar drugs to produce a sleepy-like state. It makes you physically and mentally relaxed during an investigation or procedure which may be unpleasant or painful (such as an endoscopy, dental procedures, etc) but where your cooperation is needed. You may remember a little about what happened but often you will remember nothing. This is frequently called 'conscious sedation', If you are having a regional or local anesthetic, you may want to ask for some sedation as well. Sedation is frequently used with either regional or local anesthesia. The anesthetic prevents you from feeling pain, while the sedation makes you feel drowsy and mentally relaxed during the operation.
With all of the advances in medicine and anesthesia, you should be comforted to know that serious problems arising from your sedation are uncommon. Risk cannot be completely avoided, but the combination of your sedation professional's training, modern equipment used to deliver anesthesia and monitor your condition, and modern medications have made sedation a much safer procedure in recent years.
We are equipped with Welch Allyn monitor with all the parameters for conscious sedation procedures.
Our standard monitoring includes 3-ECG, NellcorR pulse oximetry (SpO2) and Non Invasive Blood Pressure, temperature, respiration, End tidal CO2 etc for safe and predictable sedation outcomes.
The Microlux™ transilluminator provides a focused beam of cool white light for use in clinical diagnosis of cavities, calculus, crown fractures and many other dental issues. It is very useful in the oral cancer screening process. The light is powered by a high intensity light emitting diode (LED) and transmitted through a focused glass fiber optic element. By using the technique of fiber optic transillumination, the scope of oral diagnosis can be greatly improved without the introduction of additional x-rays. The Microlux also functions as an auxiliary light source which aids in general operative procedures, preventative dentistry and patient education.

A well-balanced bite protects your dental work from breakage and fractures. The T-Scan is the only solution available that provides the contact timing and force information vital to achieving occlusal balance.
Historically, bite analysis was accomplished through “patient feel” and through the use of articulating paper that showed points of contact between teeth. However, the results can often fall short. Paper alone cannot provide data on the level of force being used and the timing of when teeth come together.
With T-Scan’s digital bite force data and 3D imaging, Dr. Ramanan can pinpoint occlusal problems quickly, adjusting them with accuracy. This pinpoint accuracy helps you by protecting your teeth and dental work from fractures and breakages and reduces the need for follow-up appointments for bite adjustments.
Oral cancer is the #11 cause of cancer mortality and early detection is critical. Velscope is an oral assessment system that helps to discover any oral tissue abnormalities that might otherwise be overlooked.
This easy but effective system is used during your normal hygiene exam and only takes a few minutes to accomplish. A handheld device is used which uses a distinctive blue-spectrum light that quickly highlights any abnormalities in the soft tissue of the mouth.
